Young Artist Program: Summer 2010 Term

Summer Young Artist Program:
A Series of Six One-Week Workshops

Monday through Friday: 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Choose which week(s) works best for your schedule. Each week students will participate in the classes listed below. Children will get a half-hour break each day and will need to bring their own lunch. Parents can sign up per week or per class.

Choose Your Week(s):

  • Week One—July 5th - July 9th - 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • Week Two—July 12th - July 16th - 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • Week Three—July 19th - July 23rd - 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • Week Four—July 26th – July 30th - 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • Week Five—August 2nd – August 6th - 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • Week Six—August 9th – August 13th - 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Tuition = *$300 per week

*$20 materials fee per student per week. This price is at a discounted rate and only applies to students signing up for full week workshop.

Sign up for 2 weeks and get a third week at discounted rate.

Creative Projects: Design & Illustration Students will be introduced to various fields in art and design, such as fashion, illustration, storyboard art, interior design, pattern-making, architecture, character design, and advertising. Students will work on projects requiring problem-solving skills. New Students will be taught the fundamentals of drawing first.

Drawing the Skull/ Intro to Human Anatomy Students will draw from the skeleton and the skull using various mediums.

Landscape Painting Students will work on creating landscapes from copies of Master paintings and photographs. Students also learn to compose a landscape using reference images, drawings, and painting sketches. Lauren Rosenblum $280
